Ohasido is a wonderful, handmade fountain pen.  This pen is lacquered in beautiful burgundy color, it has superb luster and is a joy just to hold.  This small Japanese company has a very rich past and a strong future, the products are mostly made from ebonite, all hand done on a lathe and then lacquered with urushi of highest quality.  Ohasidos are known as some of the best writing instruments in the world.  The nibs are sublime and are usually 14kt gold, although higher gold content nibs are found and are rare.  This pen features a nib between a fine and medium.  The balance and comfort of these pens needs to be tried!!!
