Waterman 404 is a classic American pen of highest quality.  This pen dates back to the turn of the century and features a fine flexible nib.  The condition here is near mint and features 404 imprinted on the end of the barrel.  There are no dings or any damage, the pen is in wonderful condition and features original patina.  I doubt a cleaner example can be easily found.  The nib is original and is fine flexible with plenty of iridium.  And yes, Waterman prior to 1920 was tipping their nibs with real iridium.
